TJR is the main artery giving access to Afghanistan for Seaport in Arabian Sea. Need for construction of 2nd Carriageway of 73.69 Km long along the recently completed TJR was felt with increase of traffic volume. The work was awarded to FWO in Jun 2007.
     
This road project is continuation of linking Gawadar sea port with other parts of the country. It is a 450 km road passing through the remote areas of Balochistan and it will bring prosperity in the area.

Catastrophic earthquake of 8th Oct 2005 left the whole nation in a state of shock and grief. In these hours of tragedy, FWO participated actively in relief and rescue operation. Our men and
machines started road clearance operation voluntarily within 24 hours and opening of roads network facilitated the rescue activities and approach to difficult regions. FWO is playing
major role in rehabilitation rebuilding of communication network in earthquake affected areas.

This 100 km road project in most remote area of Pakistan was awarded to FWO in Apr 2006. The project includes 7 bridges and 300 culverts. It links Gwadar with Jiwani Town and Iran Border.
Gomal Zam Dam is a project of vital national interest. The main objectives of project are power generation, Flood protection and irrigation, with a view to irrigate 163100 acres land of interior NWFP and generate electricity up to 17.40 Megawatts. Project will be implemented in two stages. The first stage should provide a large reservoir on the Gomal Zam River, a small hydropower scheme, a diversion barrage and network of irrigation canals. The
project is bound to open an absolutely new chapter of prosperity / evolution in the region.
The projects in FATA covers a vide canvas of works, including construction of over 400 KMs roads, dams, canals and hydroelectric works. The projects have been started in April 2010 and expected to play a major role in alleviating the
sufferings of hapless people of FATA who are bearing the main brunt of the war against terror.

It is a mega drainage project running along the right bank
of river Indus with a view to providing drainage facilities
to save 4.23 Million acres of land from water logging and
salinity. FWO was awarded this project in Jun 2006. The
length of this project from Sehwan to Sea at Gharo is
about 273 KM.
Keeping in view the quality and timely completion of
1st railway project by FWO, Pakistan Railway decided
to award the project of construction of embankment
and concrete structures (Bridges) from Khanewal to
Raiwind. The length of this track is 256 KM. The work
commenced on August 2006 and is progressing as per
schedule.
DHA (Lahore) has signed Contract Agreements of worth 48 million US$ with FWO for construction of roads, sewerage and water supply schemes in Block K,L,M & N of Phase-VI and Block P of Phase VII.

This project was awarded to FWO in Nov 2004 with estimated cost of US $ 16.48. The project includes construction of new infrastructure for LDA housing scheme i.e. construction of roads, laying of sewerage lines, water supply lines, storm water drain, footpaths, sewerage
disposal and other ancillary works.
This is the frst industrial infrastructure work awarded to FWO in Mar 2009. It includes roads, sewerage, watersupply and nullah training works. The work is expected to be completed as per schedule i.e March 2011.
FWO’s entry especially in optic fiber long haul projects has been very well received by the telecom operators, due to its unprecedented
achievements in laying of optical fiber cable in a record time i.e 300 to 400 Km per month.
FWO has undertaken a number of optical fiber cable projects, which include, laying OFC for PTCL and Special Communication
Organisation. Consequently, FWO has emerged as leader in OFC laying (Long Hual) Projects to deliver quality work within prescribed
time schedule. Now FWO possesses experienced / work force to undertake OFC laying projects throughout the country.
