Shalimar Interchange was assigned to FWO on 14 August 2008 with an estimated cost of 23.68 million US$. It includes construction of one flyover, two underpasses, 2 ground level bridges and 11km service road. It has been completed and opened for traffic on 1 Jan 2010. It has improved the city’s traffic flow, it connects the main city with cantonment through the flyover and converts the canal bank road into a fast moving signal free corridor.
