Detailed Narrative Description of the Project:
It is proposed on the Kunhar River and would be producing 188MW of electricity. Naran Dam is a multipurpose project. It will create employment opportunities for the people of district Mansehra, KPK province during construction and after commissioning. Consortium of Local & International firms with FWO has been signed on 11th May’17. Evaluation of financial and technical bid has been completed. FWO has been declared as ‘First Rank Bidder’ and recommended to NEPRA for Letter of Award (LOA) on 23rd Oct 2017. Tariff Petition has also been submitted, now the project is under evaluation at NEPRA.
